RORO Boat and Jet Ski Shipping

RORO (Roll on Roll off) shipping of boats is easy and cost effective and the only real limitation is whether the height enables loading through the ship’s hatch.

When shipping a car on our RORO service, your vehicle is simply driven on to the ship at the port of departure and driven back off on arrival at destination. This method of loading and unloading to and from the ship gives rise to the term ‘Roll on Roll off’.

For common trailer boats and trailer yachts, these can be easily towed on and off the vessel and stowed securely below deck.

For boats that are too big for trailers, these can be loaded onto rolltrailers but may require a cradle or blocking to facilitate safe lashing or stowage.

For other very large boats, launches, barges or ships that are too high for a RoRo ship’s hatch then we can handle these via heavy lift or semi-submersible vessels.

RORO ships are purpose built vessels designed for the transportation of all manner of wheeled cargo including cars, caravans & camperstrailers right up to trucks, buses and motorhomes and heavy plant machinery that run on metal tracks such as bulldozers and excavators. Using specialist loading platforms they can also transport cargo that does not move under its own power such as boats, jet-skis and yachts in addition to large pieces of industrial machinery that is too large to be shipped in containers.

We can move your boats and jet skis from some of the most regional destinations to the nearest port, load it onto our RORO (Roll On Roll Off) service where the vehicle is safely secured and enclosed until it reaches it’s destination port and is unloaded off the ship and then transported to our nearest depot. From the depot the vehicle can either be collected directly or transported further to your delivery destination.

Specialist Shipping of Boats and Jet Skis

There is more to shipping boats and jet skis than simply finding space on a ship.

For example, shipping a luxury motor yacht involves a very different set of needs to shipping a recreational deck boat, just as there are significant differences between jet skis and waverunners.

Shipping boats of any kind requires both the knowledge and the resources needed to carry out the process.

Providing a reliable boat transport service requires an intimate understanding of various types of marine craft and the characteristics unique to each.

This is because each different type of water craft can be unique in terms of preparation, handling and shipping methods. Our team of shipping experts at JCS Global have an intimate understanding of many different types of sea craft and can tailor a complete logistics solution for your specific needs.

Getting Your Boat to Us

When shipping any vehicle on our RORO service, your vehicle is simply driven on to the ship at the port of departure and driven back off on arrival at destination. This method of loading and unloading to and from the ship gives rise to the term ‘Roll on Roll off’.

For common trailer boats and trailer yachts, these vehicles, like cars, can be easily towed on and off the vessel and stowed securely below deck.

We provide a nationwide transport service offering collection right from your door (or marina) using specialist road transporter to ensure safe delivery of your marine craft ready for shipment.

If you live close to one of our vehicle receiving facilities, you can choose to deliver your vehicle to us yourself.

If you wish to deliver your boat or jet skis directly to the port we can make advance arrangements for you; include providing full and clear directions, issuing you with the necessary documentation and gate passes and will book your delivery time at the port to make sure delivery is made quickly and easily.
